I was experiencing problems with my Sky HD viewing, Freezing Picture with continuing Sound, with a LOT of channels saying there is no reception! After putting up with this for about a week just putting it off to bad weather (no that it was even that bad for England!) hoping that it would just sort itself out with the odd reboot hear and there.

This article to summarise is a bunch of people with the above mentioned problem, and problem being identified as being bad capacitors on the Thomson SKY HD power supply unit (PSU)
I was a little skeptical about it being just the fault of the PSU causing this, but I had no better alternative solution, so I popped into one of the Shops on Satsure’s affiliate list (the one in Buxton) and he changed my PSU Capacitors in 25 minutes (I had called him before to let him know I was coming) for the cost of £25. While I was there I mentioned how I came across him and to cut to the chase, he’s the main guy that Satcure use for refurbishing the PSU’s! I’m glad I went straight to him, as the turn around time to do it through SatSure was about a week! So 25 minutes is an absolute winner in comparison.
When I plugged in back it at home it was as if I had a new box!! No Reception problems, picture ran perfect! And it was probably in my head but the box felt like it was running faster.
How dare I have doubted! Hats off to quality capacitors, a great service from the Buxton shoppe, and Masteriser to bringing this to my attention!
