My first Ride-out: to the Ponderosa

Having been on many short ride-outs, either on my own or with A.N. Other person, this is the first of merit to let you know about!

As with most of these events, it started with a phone call the afternoon before from a longstanding friend(s Dad, Philip) asking if I like to join then on a ride at 11am the next day. (The friend, Liam, lives in London so these ‘group’ Ride-outs only come by when he’s visiting home).

Also due to Tim’s solid performance on the CBT day out he didn’t need as many lessons as me to get up to standard.

2 weeks to go till the first lesson… Continue reading “Motorcycle Licence: Part II: The Lessons & Test”

The Motorbike Licence Part I – The CBT

Well, as a lot of items on my ‘to do’ list actually involve a motorbike, it was about time that I pulled my finger out and actually did what I had been debating for many years…. and try to pass my Motorbike licence!

From what had started as drunken chats like: “Yeah, that would be awesome, let do our bike licence” for about 3 years, it took an organised man (Tim Williams, later known as Captain Slow) to call around for quotes and availability for instruction to finally book us in for our CBT.
